Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) have recently been recognised as an Investor in Excellence after demonstrating the clear commitment to improvement.
The Investors in Excellence Standard is a prestigious mark of quality awarded to those organisations that demonstrate a high standard of all-round business performance.
The Standard asks organisations to show how they are delivering what matters most to their organisation. It is a very testing Standard covering all key business areas including leadership, people and customer results – but its scope also makes it a powerful improvement tool.
Ultimately, the Standard is results based and will continue to push SARH to ensure it continues to deliver better services that are value for money for its customers. The Investors in Excellence plaque was presented to Karen Armitage, Chief Executive of SARH at their recent AGM (pictured left with Julian Beaney, Head of Performance Solutions at IiE Ltd).
Julian Beaney, Head of Performance Solutions at investors in Excellence commented “Our assessor was impressed with what she found at SARH and in particular remarked that ‘Stafford and Rural Homes clearly puts the customer at the heart of everything it does’.
“The assessment has highlighted areas for improvement and we will be delighted to work with SARH to see the progress made when we revisit in 2 years time.”
Investors in Excellence (IiE) also had the privilege of working with a group of tenants from SARH and Housing Plus to build awareness, knowledge and confidence to use the themes within the Standard to assess their organisation
This was a pilot programme and IiE was impressed at how a diverse range of your customers threw themselves fully into the programme which normally is only used within a business environment
The customers used the knowledge gained through the programme to speak to staff and to critically examine and identify strengths and areas for improvement. The programme delivered not only a set of more confident and skilled customers but identified some key learning points for the organisation which are currently being worked on.
Jane Cannell (pictured left with Julian Beaney), a customer involved in the group was recognised with Co-regulation customer award by SARH for her contribution not only to the programme but to the presentation she gave at the CIH Midlands Regional conference in May 11.
These have been fantastic achievements to date for SARH and its tenants. Obtaining the Investors in Excellence Standard is a fantastic achievement for any organisation. Those that are recognised have shown themselves to be truly committed to continuous improvement and excellent performance.
Congratulations once again on Stafford and Rural Homes for achieving the Investors in Excellence Standard.
