Recognised Investor in Excellence holds annual Sports Fun Day

Recognised as an Investor in Excellence in January 2012, Gedling Homes is continuing to demonstrate its commitment to staff development, team building and individual encouragement.

The annual Sports Fun Day was held in the grounds of Gedling’s offices and hosted a variety of activities for all abilities encouraging staff to participate in tasks that would stimulate creative working, innovative thinking as well as trust and accountability.

The overall aim of the Fun Day is to highlight the hidden talents and abilities of individuals often buried by their daily tasks. Talents unearthed can then be developed and maximised as part of future development plans.

The unforeseen poor weather conditions did not dampen Gedling’s spirits and then team simply moved the events indoor. With the adapted activities, the challenge increased in further for the teams requiring even more creativity to tackle each event.

With a fun relaxed atmosphere, a sense of team spirit and of course, a healthy dose of competitiveness, all participants and supporters enjoyed the day and are already looking forward to next year!
